December was full of Christmas activities, dance recitals, school programs, church plays, and celebrations. Connor was a good boy for all of these. We had Christmas with our neighbors, our own “family” Christmas, then loaded in a the car and went to Cincinnati for more Christmas fun.

What a magical time! A little Girl who loves the Christmas magic, a little boy who is just learning of Santa and all the magic of the upcoming season, and a Mom who knows how to make the magic happen. Our little boy is learning rapidly. He seems to understand everything that you say. He listens well and even helps around the house. He knows a few words. His favorite is “hi.” He says “up” for any direction, even when he wants down. He LOVES his cars! After we drive anywhere, Connor always wants to sit up front and “drive” the car for 3-4 minutes. We all had a great Thanksgiving marked with a trip to visit Grandma and Grandpa, and Connor’s first ice-cream cone. In November he also learned what Santa says: "Ho, Ho, Ho!”

Between a Halloween kids party, an award ceremony for Grandpa in Springfield Mo., and homecoming/first football game at Missouri State University (in a sky-box no less) October was an exciting month!

The summer flew by. It was a busy time for us. From buying a house and all that goes with that, to raising two growing kids, we don’t know where the time went. In September we decided to slow down. We went to Panama City Beach at Labor Day for some much needed RNR. We had a great time. We also had Grandma and Grandpa visit, as well as, Uncle Stevie, Aunt Becky, and Shelby come visit for a week. When is the rest of our family and friends going to come down for a visit? We have had lots of kid pool parties and barbecues for the adults. We really love our “resort” house and our neighborhood. We are close to everything, yet not in a big city. Conner is thriving and loves having lots of inside and outside room to play. He has really taken to swimming and gets better (and more daring) every day.

May was an exciting month for us. We finally found a new house. We closed on it, Hannah went swimming in the pool, and we left for a weeks vacation in Pigeon Forge, TN.

Where have our posts been? Since our March posting we have been unable to upload pictures. After spending many hours trying to figure out what was wrong with the computer, we finally correlated that we bought a new camera about that same time. The problem turned out that many of the picture files were too large to let the system upload. I have now found a program that will allow me to batch convert all the pictures to a smaller size. Now that I can convert them easily, stay tuned. We will catch up! To give credit where credit is due: 1) thanks Uncle Brian for all the help, 2) the freeware to batch convert is Easy Thumbnails from Fookes Software.
